About
My initial training began in 1985 at The Swedish Institute in Manhattan. In addition to maintaining a private practice I have been on faculty at four different massage schools across the country. After many years of practice and many types of training I became a Hospice Volunteer. I was drawn to End of Life and Palliative care which led me to seek out avenues to use my massage skills in the Cancer Care environment. Gayle MacDonald, one of the founders of Oncology Massage, was my mentor and inspired me to shift my focus to working with people and families affected by cancer. In 2009 I was employed by Dartmouth-Hithcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH in several capacities. My primary position was Support Group Coordinator and Program Development Assistant in the Complementary Care Department of the Cancer Center. Additionally, I provided Massage Therapy in both the inpatient and outpatient hospital settings for the Cancer Center and Palliative Care departments. My current practice is based in Goffstown, New Hampshire where I offer healing and therapeutic massage sessions for people living with cancer and other life limiting illnesses, their care partners and the general public. I continue to work part time in both Manchester and Nashua in the outpatient infusion suites for Dartmouth Cancer Center. I look forward to working together to address side effects of treatment, whether they be physical, emotional or energetic, in order to compliment and support the care you are receiving from your Oncology team. Sliding scale is available for individuals living with cancer.
