Bio
Lucille started her massage therapy practice in the northern Virginia in 2004. From the very beginning of her career as a massage therapist, Lucille pursued the education necessary to work with with people affected by cancer.
As Healwell’s Program Director, Lucille coordinates, supervises, and provides care for Healwell’s hands-on programs. At Children’s National Medical Center, George Washington Medical Faculty Associates, and Virginia Hospital Center, Lucille works closely with the hospital’s palliative care and complex care hospitalist services to provide massage for patients in the bone marrow transplant and hematology/oncology units. At Sibley Memorial Hospital/Johns Hopkins Medicine she and the Clinical Supervisor support the Integrative Health Program by educating and coordinating a team of integrative care providers and by providing massage services for hospital patients.
Lucille is a founding member of the Society for Oncology Massage and was on the teaching staff at Potomac Massage Training Institute from 2004 - 2009. She co-teaches Healwell’s adult and pediatric Hospital-based Massage courses, Oncology Massage classes, and community education. She is a retired Senior Chief of the U.S. Navy and has served as the Clinical Supervisor for Hospital/Oncology Massage at The Teal Center at Virginia Hospital Center since the fall of 2009. She brings years of clinical and teaching experience to the classroom and patient suite.
